On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the Presidential Initiative for Unlocking the Healthcare Value Chain (PVAC) team visited the National Research Institute for Chemical Technology (NARICT) facility in Zaria for an on-site physical assessment. Led by Pharm. Ibrahim Alhassan, the team aimed to evaluate the institute's readiness to contribute to unlocking Nigeria’s healthcare value chain.
During the visit, the PVAC team expressed satisfaction with the quality of manpower and functional equipment at NARICT. Pharm. Alhassan remarked that the team was impressed with their observations and assured that NARICT would be considered for the project.
NARICT’s Director-General and CEO, Dr. Kabiru Mu’azu, thanked the PVAC team for their visit and reaffirmed the institute's commitment to supporting the initiative. He also informed the team that NARICT is in the process of acquiring advanced high-tech equipment to further enhance its capabilities.
Dr. Saheed Ibrahim, head of the local team, guided the PVAC delegation on a tour of the institute’s facilities.
