On Wednesday, May 28th, 2025, a delegation from St. Joseph’s Minor Seminary, Catholic Diocese of Zaria, paid a courtesy visit to the National Research Institute for Chemical Technology (NARICT) in Zaria. The delegation was warmly received by the Director-General/CEO, Engr. Dr. Kabiru Mu’azu, along with members of the institute's management team.
Led by Rev. Father Istifanus M. Katung, the seminary team congratulated Dr. Mu’azu on his appointment, commended NARICT’s contributions to national development, and expressed interest in understanding the institute's operations more closely.
Dr. Mu’azu provided an overview of NARICT’s mission and key research focus areas, including renewable energy, catalysis, and textile technology. In response, Rev. Father Katung highlighted the seminary’s interest in exploring training opportunities for students, recognizing the value of integrating scientific knowledge into their formation.
Dr. Mu’azu welcomed the prospect of collaboration, particularly in capacity building and student training programs, and acknowledged the seminary's commitment to holistic education. The visit highlights the importance of partnerships between educational institutions and research organizations in fostering academic, spiritual, and national development.
