The Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Research Institute for Chemical Technology (NARICT), Engr. Dr. Kabiru Mu'azu, is attending a three-day workshop on Science, Technology and Innovation holding at the Abuja Continental Hotel, Abuja, from Tuesday, May 12 to Thursday, May 14, 2026.
The workshop was convened to align the activities of the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science & Technology and its agencies with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It brought together Directors General and Chief Executives of the Ministry’s agencies and parastatals to coordinate research priorities, strengthen collaboration, and accelerate the delivery of innovation-driven solutions for national development.
The event was formally declared open by the Honourable Minister of Innovation, Science & Technology Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh SAN.
Speaking at the workshop, the Honourable Minister reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to translating research into practical technologies
that support industrial growth, job creation, as well as food and energy security. He noted that alignment with the Renewed Hope
Agenda would ensure that NARICT’s programmes directly contribute to the administration’s goals of economic diversification
and technological self-reliance.
The workshop features technical sessions, policy dialogues, and strategic planning meetings aimed at streamlining mandates,
reducing duplication, and improving the commercialization of research outputs across the Ministry’s agencies.
